No! The EHI is open to students across majors AND colleges across UIC!

I don’t have much research experience. Is that a problem?
The EHI is meant to guide students through the process of developing a research project and helping them navigate archives, choose internships, formulate a thesis, and write for a specific audience. Beginning in the sophomore year, students in the program attend workshops led by UIC faculty and staff that will help them with these topics and provide a supportive community for research and writing.
-
How much funding can I receive in the EHI, and how can I use the funds?
Students are eligible to receive up to $10,000 during the program. Students are hired by the EHI in the second year and begin to receive funds.
